Much of the work for social justice and ecumenism that is the Council's ministry is carried out by volunteers. You can choose to work through our program and general committees or in other places of service.

Program Committees: Organized around specific areas of work and are where much of the Council's ministry is developed and implemented. Current program committees include the following:

General Committees: Operational committees that have limited numbers of members and are named by the Council's Executive Board. If you have expertise in one of these areas and are interested in being named to that committee, then please contact George Reed, Council Executive Director. General committees include:

Office Assistance: The Council is always in need of volunteers who can give short-term help with mailings and general office tasks. Call us to put your name into the volunteer pool.

Advocacy: Help us to get information to congregations and pastors about the work of the Council and the available resources from the Council. Host a community forum in your community.

Make a gift: The North Carolina Council of Churches welcomes your financial contributions. Your gifts of cash, stocks or real estate enable us to continue our ministries of unity and justice. Remembering us in your estate planning enables you to support us into the future. And donations to the Council are tax-deductible.
