Educate and organize people of faith in NC about economic realities in the state, and ways we can act together for fair wages, working conditions, benefits, and economic systems.

 

Raising awareness about economic injustice in our state and needed changes, through popular education--guidebooks, fact sheets, workshops, events. Increasing the progressive faith presence for equity in our state. Uniting people of faith and with advocacy and grassroots groups to achieve specific economic justice policies in NC. Specifically, the committee has been:

(1) Supporting unions and collective bargaining, and other worker-led initiatives.

(2) Promoting a Sabbath economics awareness and practice--reading the Bible economically and reading the economy biblically (www.bcm-net.org ).
